However, to make proceedings that little bit more difficult, the captive princess can be fed slices of cake by your enemy, to increase her weight and girth and thus make it more difficult to carry her away. Throughout Fat Princess, you're aided in your mission by various troop types, ranging for warriors to mages, and each caste brings specific skills to the battle.

The main attraction of Fat Princess was always the multiplayer mayhem, and even on the PSP the title doesn't falter. Although the number of players has been reduced from 32 down to 8, the platform still offers up a great interactive experience. And to make up for the loss of players, the PSP version offers new modes and maps instead!

Fat Princess is a brilliantly fun title- the characters are bright and complemented by striking visuals. The multiplayer function is the selling point though, with the action reaching crazy levels and each game an adventure in itself. Fat Princess is a charming and fun little game- perfect for enjoying with friends!

The series has featured volleyball spin offs before, and Dead Or Alive Paradise is a PSP version of that same formula. There's no combat in this game, just a series of mini games which are generally geared towards showing off the lovely ladies. Along with volleyball, there's pool hopping, in which you race rivals along stepping stones trying not to fall into the water. There's also sunbathing periods during which you are able to, erm, take pictures of the girls in their bikinis.

As night falls, Dead or Alive: Paradise branches out a little more when you're able to visit the casino. Here, you're able to play games of Blackjack, Poker or try your luck at the slot machines. Winning these games earns you money to spend on new clothes, items etc.

Graphically, the game is nice enough to look at- the environments are nicely realised and the casino is a fun locale. Those inclined to admiring pixelated girls will surely have a whale of a time dressing them up (or down!). The Dead or Alive: Paradise gameplay certainly doesn't offer anything deep, but then the mini games are a fun distraction ideally suited for commuting journeys and the like.

This title is definitely an acquired taste, but if you buy it expecting just simple fun, you're on the right track. The visuals are vibrant and the games are a decent distraction. Add a few extra kudos if you're a big fan of scantily clad videogame vixens, and don't take it so seriously, and Dead or Alive: Paradise can be a fun little title perfect for light entertainment!
